The LCMS is all over the place in Missouri and elsewhere in the Midwest. That is where the Germans settled. The Baptists seem to be prevalent in the South, as you are sure to have observed. I did find one LCMS church in Huntsville. There are a few in the Atlanta area where I now live, the closest more than 10 miles away.
Any LCMS church would be delighted to have you stroll in. Be advised: they are Krauts, and will take some time to warm up to you. ;-D
That is interesting. Faith Lutheran Church is only a mile and a half from me. I have driven past it a thousand times.
