Agreed.
We aren’t to make images of God.
Christ is God. God the Son.
I get that we like visual aids, and enjoy watching movies - but if we want to learn about Christ, the Word made flesh, - read His Book, the written Word.
We will also note that there is not a single word describing His physical appearance in the Bible. That was by intent. God does not want us making idols and worshipping images.
Suppose, just for a minute, that nobody was worshiping those movies any more than you worship the Bible itself. Media is media.
