Years ago, before the first election of Obama, there was a thread on another forum, speculating if Obama was the antichrist. A common thing before presidential elections.

Among his defenders, there was one who said something extraordinary.

He said he hoped that Obama *was* the antichrist, because if he was, “He would hurt the people we hate, and give us stuff.”

Ever since that time, I have wondered what would make a leftist both that bizarre as to support the ultimate evil, yet so petty he would do so for petty revenge and greed.

I am reminded of the 1981 movie The Final Conflict, the last of the Damien series. In a brief scene, it showed a supportive crowd of Antichrist followers wearing their professional clothes. I remember a Nurse and a cop.

Left vs. Right is a distraction.
The real issue is the world system vs the Kingdom system.
America may have started with a Kingdom system world view, but that has long since passed.
Left and right in this country are firmly entrenched in the world system.

And how do you prepare for something the likes the world has never seen?

The death rate is 100%, whether it's caused by worldwide calamities, or a heart attack. The final hope is the final resurrection. That is the real victory.

A little talked about subject is in Rev. 7:3. Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

There is another mark. The whole chapter is interesting.
Verses 4-8, the 144,000 are counted and are sealed.
Then this, verse 9-10

9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

Verse 13-15

13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? (the elder is asking him if he knows who the multitude is and where they came from)
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. (John - He's saying - I don't know, but I know you do) And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

There are going to be hard times and hard decisions to be made in those days and the mention of that great multitude should remind us to endure to the end.

The sign - 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
(imagine the panic of climatologists having to explain what is going on)

Hold the course, finish the race, even if you stumble or fall.
17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Lazy? Sophomoric? Laughable? Why do you take an insulting tone? That’s problematic. Where does that come from? It bears examination.

Based on what I’ve read from you, it sounds like you’re one of those people that point and laugh when somebody who is weak in their faith fails. Someone who says “Well bless God, I’m better in MY faith than them”.
I want you to remember and think on this…there are believers in Jesus Christ who are afraid of what might happen during the Tribulation.They’re afraid of what they might do if they are starved, beaten, imprisoned, and tortured.
Remember there are some who cannot stand in case those things happen to them. They’re afraid that they may break when that stuff happens to them and that They might reject Christ because they cannot take the pain like apparently YOU can,

I look forward to the Rapture because then I won’t have to go through it.I know for a fact I do NOT have the strength and I will break if they torture me. I. Cannot. Handle. Pain.

What do you say to that, O wise one?

I’ve been absolutely sick at what I’m seeing in the news and what’s about to come. I believe we are entering the tribulation, I may be wrong but everything inside me screams this. I’m focusing on my family now and preparing for the hard times to come by listening to Bible readings, and praying. Not sure what else to do.

Perhaps threads on what the Israelis did during their time of persecution might help, prayers to focus on and so on. The time is running short and our people need reassurance and comfort, courage and strength from the Lord.

What do I say? I would suggest you pray to the Father for strength, wisdom, and discernment, then go about doing all you can to find those things. I would also suggest you pray to the Father to show you the way toward being able to abandon judgement and mocking of others.

My theory is that the Antichrist will be worshipped by The Right, as it appears he cleans up all this mess.

I remember hearing this years ago:

“What would things look like if Satan really took control of a city? Over a half century ago, Presbyterian ministry Donald Grey Barnhouse [of Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, PA] offered his own scenario in his weekly sermon that was also broadcast nationwide on CBS radio. What is the ‘tribulation’? According to Christ’s own words, wars and rumors of wars are NOT the end ... the opposite of war is ‘peace’, ‘peace’, ‘peace’, Deception is the first tribulation ... mass, global deception ... all but the elect deception (if possible) ... that is not describing war or rumors of war .. but Ephesians 6 globalization..

There is NO RAPTURE, so plan on enduring the chastisements!!

So why are you expecting Christians who are forgiven and not destined for judgment to experience it?

Then Tribulation is dealing with Israel and judgment on an unbelieving world.

How does the church fit into that? Or rather WHY?

You expect Christians just get caught in the fallout and god is NOT going to protect them?

Could be. Although we have a great number of so called Christians betraying each other now and promoting a false gospel in the churches. But, you could be right. Jesus’ warning plays on my mind for the last few weeks and I have myself trusted so many and been betrayed.

Scared doesn’t touch on how I feel right now. I’m terrified but I continue to pray and seek forgiveness.

I think what we are witnessing right now is the set up. It’s about breaking down the “old order” so as to replace it with the new one.

Then all the “freaks” will be first against the wall.

Yeah! What is happening now is just setting the stage for the real thing. When the real thing comes about, it will make what is going on now seem like a walk in the park.
