‘There is no need to create another church, but to create a different church,’ Francis says before synod

“There is no need to create another church, but to create a different church,” Pope Francis said—quoting the words of Yves Congar O.P., one of the great theologians of the Second Vatican Council—in his talk to a gathering of more than 200 cardinals, bishops, clergy, religious and laity from all over the world.

This should have had a Catholic caucus tag. It does not pertain to Christianity writ large, only Catholics.

It’s interesting how the Vat2 “ecumenists” had the idea the protestants were basically right that the Church’s Marianism was some kind of problem or heresy that needed to be curtailed. And now it seems like every other day there’s new archaeological evidence (in the middle east, Turkey, Italy, N. Africa, etc.) of just how Marian the earliest Christians of the first 3 or 4 centuries were. It’s the protestants who’ve deviated from historical Christianity on the issue of Marianism, not us.

Congar was a flaming heretic.
