It’s interesting how the Vat2 “ecumenists” had the idea the protestants were basically right that the Church’s Marianism was some kind of problem or heresy that needed to be curtailed. And now it seems like every other day there’s new archaeological evidence (in the middle east, Turkey, Italy, N. Africa, etc.) of just how Marian the earliest Christians of the first 3 or 4 centuries were. It’s the protestants who’ve deviated from historical Christianity on the issue of Marianism, not us.
Congar was a flaming heretic.
