When did Stockton become a legend? Do all these guys claim to be legends? The word has become overused.
Stockton is third all-time in assists and fifth all-time in steals. Couldn’t get past Jordan in the Finals, but a lot of legends had that problem. :)

I’m pretty sure legendary UCLA coach John Wooden once said the only player he would pay money to watch in the NBA was John Stockton.

You are right, he is first in both assists and steals. I was looking at playoff totals, not regular season.
