WOW! Fenster! Always delighted when you include them.
Among the many paintings, #2 by d’Oggiono, the main pupil of Leonardo and we can see the similar style of the master. In fact, d’Oggiono copied many of Leonardo’s paintings.
#4-5 Memling. 15th c. German painter who also worked in the workshop of Rogier van der Weyden. A great Master of the Northern Renaissance Art.
#9 Titian - A splendid Salvator Mundi
#30 by Rubens
#33 Ghirlandaio
Wow, such beautiful paintings!
I remember seeing, I think, a documentary on Leonardo’s painting some time ago, something about having it authenticated? I’m going from memory, and I’m not sure. It certainly seems familiar…
The two Titians are an interesting contrast in the artist’s style. I like #8, finding it more intense.
Beautiful paintings for the most beautiful of subjects.
Love em all, and would like to have a y of them on the wall, but especially like
14 Anthony van Dyke
15 El Greco
30 Peter PUl Rubens (always loved his work- he had a way of getting that blush of color in the skin painted in so delicately and subtle for near perfect results)
12 ans 13 are nice together to see and compare his 2 works together. 13 is quite intricate and detailed and ornate, but 12 is really nice too.
Durer 25 is nice as well.love the combo look of etching and painting in the face and beard and eyes.
Thank you, Alba, for your enthusiasm and encouragement.
Looking forward eagerly to the time very soon when we can admire the subject of these paintings in-person. Until then, we must content ourselves with these.
Thank you, etabeta, for the information. I do remember something about the question of distortion in the orb. It was a fascinating program.
“Beautiful paintings for the most beautiful of subjects.”

Hello Dan, and AMEN to your statement above.
Stunning Fenster; such colors!
Thank You Dan!
Another Fensterite, I see. Welcome to the club, and grab the Windex.
He’s got the whole world in His hands
I was not aware that this body of work existed.
I do find it interesting that many of the artists made the world/the sphere totally transparent.
Is that because He can see right through us?
Right through our hearts and our minds?
Or is it because outside of Him we are nothing?
Or because we are at His mercy? We can be hurled to the ground, shattered and swept into the dustpan like broken glass. Or we can be upheld and loved by Him.
Or is it simply a proportion thing? God is so very huge and the earth is so miniscule that we do not even show up as a speck in the painting.
LOL
Very well thought through, K. We are indebted to you for articulating that so helpfully.
Looking at the art and the way you put together these threads would be a fun and enlightening discussion activity for any church.
If I were retired, I think it would be very fun to get together with other Christians and spend time on your thread. Gallery time.
You have put so much thought and work into collecting the art. I wish you were published and went to a larger audience, because it is a privilege and a joy to visit your gallery. Though I don’t get to comment each time, I thoroughly enjoy this thread. Thank you again for being so generous.
Lovely thoughts, K. I am "generous" only because God told me to be.
As for casting to a wider audience, again that will be God's call. During the first year-and-a-half of the first series I was just learning how to do this--God did a lot of hammering and chiseling on me. During this second series He's been filing and sanding, so that now the thing actually begins to resemble a professional effort.
Which means that it's ready to take on the road. I have asked Him what He wants, and I await His answer.
K is right Dan; we so greatly love this valuable ministry. As we’ve discussed, many stop by, yet don’t comment... but no matter; the Holy Spirit touches many hearts thru your gallery.
Thank You Again, for your labor of love.
