I spent a week in Turkey before Islamist Erdogan became president. People were delighted to see Americans then and we had a wonderful time. I rather enjoyed the Muslim call to prayer broadcast through Istanbul. It made the trip seem more Turkish.
But call to prayer in the US? No thank you. Move back to your muslim countries if you want to praise Allah over loudspeakers. It’s an invasion of my space.
