How could we learn if Ananias and Judas were common 1st Century names?

I know! All we need to do is check their phonebooks.

No, that won't work after all. Phonebooks list last names alphabetically, and Ananias and Judas are first names.

Never mind.

The Romans were fairly thorough, and probably had such listings. But yeah, first names. You need some 1st century AI to analyze the data.
