THIS SAME JESUS, who has been taken from you into heaven, WILL COME BACK IN THE SAME WAY you have seen him go into heaven.
Outside and above anyone's particular religious beliefs,
There's a vast, integrated, multi-layered analog in modern times with the mission of Apollo 11/Saturn V. It also links with Apollo 8, Earthrise, and the Genesis reading. And of course the 50th anniversary in 2019, when Apollo 11 had been projected onto the Washington Monument for the big launch.
I've posted bits and pieces over the years. This stuff could fill book after book, yet it's all very simple. It's sure to come out in due time. Sudden revelation, epiphany: when knowledge and understanding flip over and on in an instant.
The multiple selections of artwork here (with Jesus' ascending in a white robe) do add to the "Apollo Effect".
In the meantime,
Here's a very small example from the VLF transmitter (Very Large File), concerning the tabernacle of David that is fallen...
Amos 9:11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
... because here's where it all started, with the development of the Saturn V and its Garden of Cyrus (quincunx) pattern of the engines:
Visiting Marshall

For a deep visual perspective, here are a couple of photos from the Wikipedia page:
Google street view even walks inside the Davidson Center, where the visitor is greeted by the engine display overhead, at the base of the... horizontal model. The rocket stages (1, 2, 3) are marked as the teaching route continues onto the Moon, which is encircled by the famous announcement of the ages.
It's like the form of the letter lamed:
A three-stage rocket ship soaring into outer space.
Man's aspiration to understand the universe.A heart of a wise man ascending to comprehend the wisdom of God.
Learning in order to teach, learning in order to do.Divine inspiration; the higher Shechinah.
Prophetic imagination breaking through the limitations of rational intellect.
On that note,
Apollo 11 launched on July 16th, 1969, which was the 1st of Av -- the beginning of the Nine Days that ended on Tisha B'Av with the splashdown of the CM Columbia ("dove").
The 1st of Av is also a key date in Jewish history because 123:
Aaron the first High Priest, brother of Moses and Miriam, passed away at age 123 on the 1st of Av of the year 2487 from creation (1274 BCE). This is the only yahrzeit (date of passing) explicitly mentioned in the Torah (Numbers 33:38).

It's really amazing what sits there right underneath Interstate 565, the Ohr Mashiach, Messianic Light [אור משיח = 565]. There's room to post it all, so I have to leave a lot out.
We’re deep into the Great Litany at our church and dreading the arrival of Maundy Thursday and what follows so you’re jumping the gun a bit but I’ll go with it. With 60 years of piloting under my belt I’m more impressed with a depiction of Our Lord’s ascension in a horizontal plane; arms outstretched, eyes upward, and surrounded by heaven’s hosts. Forget the straight up rocket ship stuff.
Woo Hoo!
I am very fond of #6
#13,31 and 34 successfully emphasize that without Him, we are in darkness
#14 is kind of funny
love that He is wearing King’s attire in #46
lots of motion or movement in #53
A very good show. Thank you for keeping the gallery open so late, that I may view all this wonderful art.
