ZEIT ONLINE: Michael Seewald, what are you thinking about right now?
Michael Seewald: About dogmas and their problems: How has official Christian teaching changed over time? For what reasons did she do this? What mechanisms were at work?
Michael Seewald is a professor of dogmatics and the history of dogmas at the University of Münster. In 2018 he published the book "Dogma in Transition" (Herder). Most recently he published "Theories of doctrinal development in the Catholic Church" (Cambridge University Press, 2023).

That’s why we ask in the series “What are you thinking about right now?” ..........................
NOT YOUR FRIENDS, trads.
He’s saying that if Francis completely destroys Catholic practice and theology, it will simply be a fulfillment of Vatican 2.
The truth is that Vatican 2 did not authorize the New Order mass, nor permit the suppression of the Traditional Latin Mass, nor change Catholic doctrine beyond so recontextualizations.
Recontextaliazations? you ask. Yes. Trent condemned “protestants.” But at the time, a “protestant” was someone who supported the violent, illicit revolt happening in Germany. Today, a “protestant” is someone who practices a “substantially deficient” yet potentially sincere worship of Christ. Just like great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandchildren of insurrectionists have become patriots in their nation their forefathers rebuilt, so too are protestants reasonably understood as faithful Christians within a defective schism.
Exactly what I was thinking about today
Third Secret of Fatima is Vatican II and the Apostasy it caused to destroy The Church.
