He was a lawyer in private practice, joined the government as a U.S. attorney, got an executive position at the FBI. Never a single day of law enforcement… not one.
In a better world spooks like Wray would be put in a leather bag and be trampled by horses.
The worse part is that they get away with it...

One of those "whole lot of things," is the ideology of the Left which only accepts their truth and no other. If their truth is abridged, they go into conniption fits. For that reason Wray is ruled like a trained dog.
19. Trump probably didn’t pick much of his administrations agency leaders. Probably never heard of most of them. His advisors failed him on too many occasions.

Oh this will be fun. I name anyone, you come up with wil assertions of how they’re Deep State based on articles from ConservativeTreehouse or some other POS blog. You can certainly find plenty of people with weaker ties to Democrats, Mueller, etc., than Wray! The problem here though is that there isn’t a Deep State, inc. that you can just look up in someone’s LinkedIn profile. It’s about knowing whether someone’s sympathies lie with conservatism, or the foreign-policy/international-finance industries. And Trump doesn’t have a clue. And you don’t either.
I knew one man Trump picked who was a very honest, sincere conservative. He was so honest and sincere and naive that as soon as the Democrats said, “Boo!” he lopped off his own balls and handed them over to prove how honest and sincere he was, and in doing Jar Jar Binksed Rosenstein into power.
He SHOULD’VE been able to pick Giuliani, but Trump made Giuliani look like a frickin’ clown, trying to clean up Trump’s unforced errors.
The fact of the matter is that the CIA under Mike Pompeo prepared a report for Trump naming a couple dozen state-level administrations’ ties to China. That could’ve been a roadmap to finding people he could trust. But Trump has such a two-year-old’s notion of loyalty, he trusted Mike Cohem over Mike Pompeo.
Of course, now that Mike Pompeo has seen what a God-damned idiot Trump is, he’s not on Team Trump anymore, and that’s all you’ll care about when you decide Pompeo is Deep State.
But you see the Deep State isn’t some secret organization. It’s a network of foreign-policy apparatchiks who think that not only are they correct and virtuous for trying to mold some sort of global power-sharing with the Chinese and Arabs and Germans, but that those pathetic little small-”d” democrats who think they should have a voice in such matters are the real enemies. So it’s not a matter of whether you’re a part of a club; it’s a matter of whether working for so long with such people has you thinking like they do.
So when Trump acted like such a buffoon, a LOT of people in Washington who leaned more to democracy than Deep State went more Deep State. Pompeo doesn’t seem to be one of them. His China report should’ve used as the road map to defeat them. But Trump only wants his ego stroked by his underlings.
Truth is that I wouln’t trust Pompeo not to have turned to the dark side. But the fact that he resigned rather than trying to be the guy who further subverted the CIA from within makes me think that as of 2018, he hadn’t turned yet. Trump won’t see it that way. Trump will see it that Pompeo wasn’t loyal, and therefore Pompeo always was nothing but a Deep State tool, because he’s such an egoist that if you don’t see him as the messiah, you’re the devil.

And that’s why Trump was so damned incompetent. I’m not claiming he’s an idiot; he IS very smart. But he has the worst case of Dunning-Kreuger; he judges people solely based on their loyalty to HIM, personally rather than to their shared goals; and he trusted his own casino-managing band of money-hungry idiots more than the people who had been fighting in the trenches for so many years.
Jared Kushner was not with the movement. Roger Stone might as well have had “666” branded across his forehead. (WTF would you trust Bob Dole’s campaign chief????). Paul Manafort was precisely the sort of guy Trump should’ve been most suspicious of. I’m kinda shocked that Trump trusted Chris Christie so much. Rudy Giuliani didn’t know Washington any better than he did, and frankly, I wouldn’t be shocked to find out he was a mole; in any case, Trump shouldn’t’ve been trusting political chameleons like he and Christie just because they jumped on board with Team Trump. Bob Barr wasn’t a mole; he was a flag-waving champion of the Deep State. Jason Miller had very well proven he was not to be trusted but even before then his ugly affairs and his work with unabashed Deep Staters Slade Gordon and Jack Ryan should’ve tipped him off.
Gen. Flynn was actually one of the good guys, I suspect, but he actually WAS being persecuted and prosecuted unjustly. Ted Cruz should’ve been able to tell him who to trust, but Trump’s late campaign rants and personal attacks had Trump worried about revenge, which was stupid of him. Sessions was a boy scout, but a bit of a Jar Jar Jinks and ended up handing his own balls to the Democrats.
The fbi is the enemy.
Wray is a pathetic shallow little creep and has helped make the fbi a joke.
