[Tell It Right]

My church is a mega church where about 90% of the time the sermon is streamed in (a local pastor sometimes gives the message in person). But the worship is with a live local band and we really push small groups. We have one Sunday service and once a month have a Wednesday service, and once a month have a Wednesday youth service. But again, most of the meetings are in small groups. This is how the church operated since before covid.

End result: we had to expand to 3 services on Sunday from all the people coming to my local church (campus) alone. In the past year there were 1,126 people coming to Christ for the first time, just at my local campus alone. This is in a majority black area and so many folks are tired of the racist and hedonism messages in too many black churches. In fact, many of the leaders in other black churches have gotten the point and changed their tune. One of them close to me now has a Sav-a-life building for pregnant women to go to if they're teetering on aborting. I thought I'd never see that at a black church.

We have what you might call a mega church in our area trying that format currently and it’s sputtering thus far. I hope your success continues and souls are saved.

We started streaming during covid and it’s been a wash I would say. We lost three or four families who “watch” but in reality do not. We also have a lot of shut-ins and elderly who would be there if not for physical impairment who really enjoy getting to see the services. I run the sound system and there’s a couple of them, bless their hearts who let me know it’s not loud enough on the streaming! I think you could set off and Hbomb in their house and they would go huh? I thought I heard something!
