Summary: 1 Thess 5:19-21 -- Do not quench the Spirit, but test all things.
Here are the eight questions:
1. Asbury has seen 8 revivals since 1890: Why is this college being picked by the Holy Spirit? 2. Asbury is part of the Wesleyan Holiness movement; they are orthodox believers but tend to deemphasize sin, judgment, wrath, and repentance: which are necessary for biblical revival. The Gospel has to be the centerpiece-- but its not apparent. 3. Who is endorsing this revival? Todd Bentley, Sean Feucht, Shane Claiborne. 4. Other Christian colleges are reporting similar revivals. Why not the secular colleges? 5. What is the biblical definition of revival? (individual/church or massive pouring out) a true outpouring goes outward, not inward. 6. Where is the preaching of the Word? (Ninevah and Pentecost) 7. What's with the bizarre behavior? Female preachers? Speaking in tongues? Hillsong/Bethal worship music? 8. Why is the third person of the Trinity overemphasized, when it is the Holy Spirit's job to focus on Jesus Christ?
So what do we do with all this?
Don't quench the Spirit, encourage pursuit of holiness; but it probably doesn't meet the test of a biblical outpouring. Be careful when the music ends and the mountain top experience is over. The biblical remedy for a dry spirit is (Acts 2:42) reading the Word, praying, hearing preaching, fellowship, taking communion: doing the basics in the context of your local church.

Let it roll. I’m never against people worshiping the Lord. If it catches fire it’ll be from the Lord and if it fizzles, well, so be it.
I’m happy to remember the Jesus revival in the early 70’s and people questioned that. But it grew and it started except back then there was no live streaming.
I’d suggest we pray the Spirit guides them and replenishes them.

Yup- usually in revivals, many unsaved suddenly have the scales removed from their eyes, and they see the truth and come to Christ for salvation- IF that is happening, then fantastic- we need to keep praying that it continues- and as more and more people learn of it, they too will pray, increasing the amount of folks asking God to bless and save as many as possible during this time-
That will be fun. Those were my teen years. I’ve never seen anything like it since.

No one has said it was a bad thing. Literally no one.
A sincere question: How can we know that the Holy Spirit picked this or any other college?
