It is debatable if the Bible actually says this. I may not be the best to debate it, but I know many fine men and scholars who do not believe that.
When Jesus comes to gather His Body of Believers in the Rapture event, that is not the second coming for He will gather us UP into the clouds to meet Him in the air. 1 John 3:2 says we shall be like Him when He gathers us up. The second coming He comes back to touch down at the Mount of Olives.
” In like manner he will return the way you have seen him leave!” (The Bible does say that. The angel who appeared to the disciples after Christ ascended said that he would return bodily the same way.) Now that doesn’t mean he has returned bodily when the church and the dead in Christ are raptured and “meet him in the middle of the air!”
