Here’s the difference between the SDA and a saved believer:

When you sin, you simply repent and try to not do it again. That’s a losing game, the flesh trying to save itself instead of crucifying itself. Rather than the Holy Ghost helping you, you have the SDA Commentary to which you refer to know if you’re sinning or not.

When a child of God sins, they see the sin by the power and grace of the indwelling of the Holy Ghost. The cure is also by the Holy Ghost. The more a person grows in Christ Jesus, the more he identifies more sin in his life, again by the power and grace of His Holy Spirit. This is dying to the world by crucifying sinful flesh.

Ravi must have had a problem with his vision.

Good thing for Ravi that there's no amount of willful, unrepentant sin that will keep him out of heaven.

Sin is the transgression of God's law moral. OSAS say that they are not under/responsible for the law. The law was done away with when Christ was crucified (nailed to the cross). If there is no law, there is no sin, no judgment, and no penalty.

Rev 14:12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Salvation means faith AND obedience, which the OSAS do not believe. Your group is forever saved at the nanosecond of grace. Obedience is optional (wouldn't want anyone to accuse you of being a legalist, now would you?).

The only people getting into heaven are believers in Christ as their savior, who keep His commandments out of love to Him. It's mandatory and they will all be judged by His law.

Here it is again, Claire:

Romans 2:11For there is no respect of persons with God. 12For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; 13(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. 14For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves; 15Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) 16In the day when God shall JUDGE the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

And Solomon said...

Eccl 12:13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14For God shall bring every work into JUDGMENT, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Doesn't mean anything to you, right Claire? OJAS/OJAJ means just that. You're in, no matter what. Nope, the bible clearly says otherwise. Faith without works is a dead faith. We will all be judged by our works/obedience. Claim to be of Christ? Then you had better back it up with works/obedience.

Hmmmmmm, I wonder what this means?

1 Peter 4:17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Hmmmmmmm.
