>> What specifically did he predict/prophesy that has not come true?<<

First, he claims to have the ability to interpret biblical prophecy, and to reveal mysteries from the Old Testament. Only the Apostles (and Christ) had that power.

In his first book, he wrote:

"The word is from the Bible…from the Book of Isaiah…the ninth chapter… Isaiah 9:10… It's a very obscure verse. Even most of those who read the Bible every day would have little idea it even existed. … The prophecy, in its context, concerned ancient Israel. But now, as a sign, it concerns America… It's the sign of a nation that once knew God but then fell away, a sign that America is now the nation in danger of judgment…and now given warning and the call to return." [Cahn, Jonathan, "The Harbinger: The Ancient Mystery That Holds the Secret of America's Future." 2012, Chap.6]

God said he knew only Israel:

"You only [Israel] have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities." -- Amos 3:2 KJV

In his 2nd book, Cahn wrote:

"Those who founded America not only foretold its future blessings—but also gave warning. It was this: if America ever turned away from God, then the same judgments that fell upon ancient Israel would fall upon America. The appearance of the same harbingers in America that had once appeared in the last days of ancient Israel matches their prophecies." [Cahn, Jonathan, "The Mystery of the Shemitah." FrontLine, 2014, Chap.7]

There is no scripture that supports such a claim. Yet, Cahn correlates his claim of "harbingers" with 9/11:

"One other mystery revealed in The Harbinger warranting mention here is that of the mystery ground. Embedded in America's foundation is a prophetic warning. The warning was given on America's first day as a nation. It concerns what will happen if America should ever turn away from God. Linked to that same day and that warning is a ground of earth—America's ground of consecration. It is here the nation was dedicated to God at its birth. It is this ground which joins together ancient Israel, 9/11, and a prophetic warning to America for this hour." [Ibid. Chap.3]

He also made this claim:

"[W]e must distinguish between the observance of the Shemitah and the Shemitah as a prophetic sign. Only Israel was compelled to keep the Shemitah as an observance. As an observance, the Shemitah applies to one nation. But as a prophetic sign, it may apply to any nation." [Ibid. Chap.9]

In Chapter 11 he wrote:

"We have just looked at the five major peaks in modern stock market history or the five major turning points and collapses in the financial world. Is there anything striking about the resulting picture? When do the greatest peaks and key turning points of modern stock market history take place? • The first takes place in 1973. • The second takes place in 1980. •The third takes place in 1987. • The fourth takes place in 2000. • And the fifth takes place in 2007. What is the relationship of one peak to the next? The math is, of course, simple, but for the sake of clarity, here it is: • The first and second peaks and turning points, of 1973 and 1980—a cycle of seven years • The second and third peaks, of 1980 and 1987—a cycle of seven years • The fourth and fifth peaks, of 2000 and 2007—a cycle of seven years" [Ibid. Chap.11]

In reality, 1973 was 8 years into a long bear market that bottomed in 1982. The year 1987 was 5 years into a major bull market that peaked in 1999, had a minor correction which bottomed in Sept 2002, recovered to the 1999 peak by Aug 2007, had a substantial fall (to about half its value) bottoming in Aug 2009, recovered quickly to its previous high by Oct 2013, and resumed the bull market climb.

It is all nonsense – false teaching.

>>Also, you are wrong about your representation of God and the US. in post 38. There you said “He also claimed that God made a covenant with the United States, which is pure nonsense." Jonathan Cahn NEVER made that claim. He recognized that America was dedicated to God by its founders, but NEVER claimed God made a covenant with the US. So you are completely wrong on that."<<

I will agree that virtually everything he wrote is based on innuendo, when he is not pulling "facts" out of thin air; but Cahn claimed the Shemitah is a sign of a nation's covenant with God, and later he linked America to the Biblical Shemitah in a series of stock market crashes (and, of course, 9/11.)

"The Shemitah was a sign of the nation's covenant with God. Everything they had, the land and all its blessings, was dependent on that covenant and their relationship with God. It was all entrusted to them, but it belonged to God." [Ibid. Chap.5]

"The Shemitah ended on September 17, 2001. It would thus contain the calamity of 9/11 and its traumatic impact on the American and global financial realms." [Ibid. Chap.11]

>>If you have to misrepresent what someone has to say to have any grounds to accuse them of something, then you have no case at all.<<

I agree. I always take special care before accusing someone of being a charlatan.

>>Besides, his messages, if you care to listen to them, are constantly calling for repentance and turning back to God, with the legitimate warning that if people don’t, they are bringing judgment on themselves. Why is that a problem for you?<<

There is nothing wrong with that as long as one stick to God's Word and does not pretend to have received some special revelation from God that cannot be found anywhere in the scripture.

First, he claims to have the ability to interpret biblical prophecy, and to reveal mysteries from the Old Testament.

And you are doing the exact same thing by claiming he's wrong with his interpretation.

Don't be a hypocrite and allow for yourself what you condemn in others.

And that STILL didn't answer then question. That is not a prophecy that he prophesied that did not come to pass.

He's recognizing parallels that are pretty obvious to anyone who pays attention. That is NOT claiming special revelation from God.

There are spiritual laws and principles that God has established that kick in when obeyed or violated. Recognizing them as having happened and seeing the same principles play out again today is NOT prophecy.

NO matter how much you don't like him and want to read into what he said more than he said, you still have not proved what you claim, that he made prophecies that have not come to pass and that he is a false prophet.

You are free to not like what he said all you want but you are wrong to smear him and falsely accuse him of things he never said or did.
