So Jesus was just resisting “the Roman imperial order”?
Gotta go back and re-read my Bible.
In my Bible, Jesus said to render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, and render unto God what is God’s.
In my Bible, Jesus acknowledged that Pontius Pilate did indeed have power over life and death.
Hardly the words of one who was merely “resisting the Roman imperial order”.
