I think this was the last Godly pope the church will ever have. God’s will is being done, none the less. It must have been a choice that carried immense pain for him to make.

The letter said that he had horrible insomnia and the drugs he was taking were becoming less effective to the point he felt he could no longer do his job.
There, a one sentence summary wasn't that hard at all. At least it wasn't a "you MUST watch this video!!!" post.

Godly? He abandoned the Church.

Godly? He abandoned the Church.SAINT Peter denied Christ 3 times. King David who egregiously sinned against God numerous times was described by God as " A man after my own heart"

Suspicious timing. Years later he writes a letter to his biogapher, found and published by a German magazine.
with information that should have come out at the time of his resignation, and contradicts the book he just released.

That could still be a cover story for Francis forcing him out.

Yes, it sounds just like the fake Fatima letter (presented as being written by Lucia).

That could still be a cover story for Francis forcing him out.
Or more specifically Farncis' BACKERS forcing him out (St. Gallen's mafia?)

It looks like World Youth Day in Cologne triggered the whole medical issue. Popes didn’t globe trot before John Paul II. JP II was built for it.
The World Youth Day itself is an opportunity for gross abuses of the Blessed Sacrament.
Benedict would have been wiser, I believe, to retool the World Youth Days or dispense with them altogether. It is not part of the job description. Of course, that is 20-20 hindsight. May he rest in peace.

I think the timing is suspicious, too. It could easily be cover for Francis.

So, he was a drug addict due to improper medical advice. What he needed was brain scans, a better diagnosis, drug rehab and a proper nutrition regimen—and faith that the Lord would provide a pathway through to healing.
That is, if I’m buying this story. Which I’m not.
Extremely disappointing. Thought so much better of him.
