Actually it was the ethnic Russians who overwhelmingly voted to be part of Russia after asking them to come for 8 yrs.
They wrote a formal letter which Putin filed with the UN.
Most had already declared themselves as separatists in 2014.
So you might think of them as Ukraine, but they certainly did not claim to be part of Ukraine.
Ukrainians really persecute those who are not full blood Ukrainian. The roma and hungarians are not treated well.
But the nazis hate ethnic Russians the most so they were the ones they shelled and killed. Ukraine is still shelling donbass
and killing people.

If it were to conclude, Russia will leave western Ukraine.
They are there to locate criminals and cut power when necessary. Only Poland would be stupid and greedy enough to want to run western Ukraine. LOL.

I think you may have misunderstood me. I was saying that if you were correct that Putin wants to leave western Ukraine to Poland, that would mean the Russia would get 80% of Ukraine (not Poland), leaving only the western 20% to Poland, i.e the border would be drawn at the pre-1939 Soviet-Polish border.
To clear up any further misperception, exactly were do you believe Putin wants to draw the partition line with Poland? If its not the pre-1939 border, where?
As for your contention that the ethnic Russians voted overwhelming to be a part of Russia, even if that were true it would still be a minority in Luhansk and Donetsk because ethnic Russians are a MINORITY in both oblasts (only about 38%).
As for the shelling in 2014-2022, there was shelling by BOTH sides. Furthermore, the current shelling of Ukrainian cities by Russia is an order of magnitude worse than anything that the Ukrainians were accused of doing in the past 8 years.
As for the “formal letter”, the LNR and DNR are not independent actors, so the letter was at least cleared, if not outright drafted, in Moscow before it was sent.
