This is part progress report, part prayer request. Last year I had a weird flu-like thing and it affected my ears. The doctors said my situation was difficult and unusual. When a doctor says that, you know you are in for a rough time. Anyways, I would have some inflammatory episode in an ear, things would improve, then another episode, and so on. The good news is since summer I have been on medicines and I have not had any episodes, my hearing has greatly recovered but not 100%. I’m tolerating the medicine well, too. So this is real progress. Please pray that my hearing will recover the rest of the way, I will never have any episodes again, and I can eventually be taken off the medication. I feel it is a miracle things have improved as much as they have. I’m sorry if this is too long or too many details.
