I would appreciate prayers for my sister (and fellow FReeper who hasn’t been here in a while). She had breathing complications from flu, including pneumonia. She is currently on a ventilator in ICU after collapsing and becoming unresponsive.
She is waking up some this morning, and they expect she will recover from the pneumonia but they think she may have had a heart attack which caused her to collapse. They will know more when the cardiologist sees her.
She is a real fighter, has recovered from heart attacks, stroke, cancer, and has a blood clotting disorder and COPD. But none of that has slowed her down, she is very involved in her church and teaches a couples Bible study with her husband.
I know she has to be livid she is on a vent, she was adamant she never be on one when she had Covid, but she recovered from that at home.

Praying your sister will recover from all this and have no long-term problems. Prayers she will be off the vent real soon and be released to go home and 2023 will be a time of recovery and renewal.

She is breathing better now and seems to be past pneumonia and flu, but in the past few days when they have tried to remove the vent, her heart rate goes through the roof and her breathing is not what they want to see.
The doc told my BIL they will keep trying. Shes had the vent for four days now
