Father Frank Pavone, a well-known pro-life activist and national director of the organization Priests for Life, has been dismissed from the clerical state for “blasphemous communications on social media” and “persistent disobedience of the lawful instructions of his diocesan bishop,” CNA has learned.
In a Dec. 13 letter to U.S. bishops obtained by CNA and confirmed by multiple sources as authentic, Archbishop Christophe Pierre, the Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, wrote that the Prefect of the Dicastery for the Clergy issued the decision on Nov. 9, adding that there was “no possibility of appeal.”
“Father Pavone was given ample opportunity to defend himself in the canonical proceedings, and he was also given multiple opportunities to submit himself to the authority of his diocesan bishop,” explains a separate statement attached to Archbishop Pierre’s letter. “It was determined that Father Pavone had no reasonable justification for his actions.”
Pavone, however, told CNA Saturday that he had not been notified about the Vatican's judgment.
The communication from Archbishop Pierre does not specify the actions that led to Pavone’s dismissal or name the bishop he disobeyed.
The statement refers to Pavone as “Mr. Pavone” and calls him “a lay person,” underscoring the dramatic and immediate nature of the Vatican’s action.
“Since Priests for Life, Inc. is not a Catholic organization, Mr. Pavone's continuing role in it as a lay person would be entirely up to the leadership of that organization,” the statement says.
Pavone is still saying Masses, including one streamed online Saturday. The Priests for Life website states that Pavone “is a Catholic priest in good standing, and exercises his ministry in full communion with the Catholic Church.”
In an email to CNA on Saturday, Pavone said that he was not aware of the Vatican’s action.

What is his alleged blasphemy?
Earlier this week there was posted here a sickening account of long-term ritual sexual abuse against a female student at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio by Fr. (not Mister) David Morrier. As I recall, abuse took place even during confession and during an exorcism. The university bent over backwards to cover it up. Morrier got five year’s probation from the civil courts. He faces charges from the church. He has not been laicized.

This Pope does not representative of God, he is not infallible, and he is not an actual pope. He is an anti pope and he has filled the US Cardinals with homosexuals.

Here in eastern Iowa, a local priest denied the divinity of Jesus (in a Christmas homily no less), supported gay rights, and had a no contact order placed on him by a sexual assault victim, yet he remains a priest in good standing.
There was a former poster here that called Pavone a “heretic” for his pro life stance. I challenged them, but he kept saying that eventually Pavone would be kicked out.
I will have to apologize to him. Even though I am a Lutheran I didn’t think Rome would be that stupid.
It’s a skewed sense of justice.

His laicization is surely invalid, and will surely be declared so once Holy Mother Church once again has a decent Vicar of Christ.
To be kicked out of the Catholic chuch is a blessing. The Romand Catholic Church does not preach the true biblical gospel and anyone whole follows its teaching is headed for the lake of fire.
Soon, all the woke churches will expel the members who are not pro-abortion and are not appropriately supportive of “trans-gendered” being in charge of teaching Sunday School for children ages 2 through 14.
Lawsuits are coming for Bible-believing and teaching churches. Soon conservatives will have to gather to worship together in secret, while only allowing carefully vetted members to join their group. Infiltrators will be common and they will secretly record any speech that goes against the “woke” culture.
