Aborting viable, late-term unborn babies for any reason is now a “right” in the Vermont Constitution and abortions are available up to birth.
Last month, state voters approved Proposal 5, a pro-abortion constitutional amendment, on the ballot by a massive margin. Most expected the amendment to pass in the deeply Democratic state. Abortions already are legal for basically any reason up to birth in Vermont, but the amendment will stop the state legislature from enacting any limits in the future.
Today, Vermont formally adopted the constitutional amendment.
Upon signing the amendments into the state’s founding document, Gov. Phil Scott and Secretary of State Jim Condos held up the certificates of each amendment, beaming, while the Democratic leaders of the House and Senate who helped shepherd the proposals through the legislative process — Speaker Jill Krowinski and President Pro Tempore Becca Balint — looked on.
Vermont’s state constitution is notoriously difficult to amend, rendering it among the oldest and shortest constitutions in the country. Proposed amendments in Vermont face an arduous, years-long process, requiring majority support from two consecutive cohorts of state legislators, then approval by the voting population.
“Our founders had the foresight to protect their constitution from impulse and partisanship, and that’s something Vermonters have felt strongly about ever since,” Scott said in a speech Tuesday. “I believe this is how it should be. And it makes moments like today even more meaningful.”

Well if you ignore the moral problem, it’s a plus for our side as most murdered are future Dem voters....
Catastrophic
Evil, subhuman trash.
Can't argue that if you follow Democrat logic.
These are some sick puppies.
Bet there are no universities doing studies of what the lasting effects are on women who have their babies killed, let alone killed “at birth”.
What is the racial demographic of Baltimore? If it is largely black, that is the reason because Planned Parenthood has its founding as the pretext of ridding the world of blacks. Margaret Sanger was an avowed racist and eugenist.
Abortion is basically the religious observance of the pagan and the apostate.
I still believe that Vermont is the best place to begin flipping blue states red. Excess red votes in Utah, Oklahoma and elsewhere could establish residencies in Vermont to offset the blue advantage. It’s a tiny state and they pay people to live there.
One never hears of turning blue states red.
It could be done to Vermont.
But....but.....but.....State Rights.(Sarcasm)
B.S. this barbaric practice needs to be ended permanently by implementing a ban on baby murder after a certain time period.
Abortion is not a right guaranteed by the Constitution of the USA, so to stop this apparent “wild west behavior” this ‘right’ needs to be regulated at the federal level.
We have a huge global demographic labor supply problem(It will effect Capital as well) that will continue to materialize over the next 20 years, and we’re still enabling “feminist supremacy” to delete the future of our civilization.(Our children are that future)
“Its disgusting.”
It has been PROVEN that the alive unborn can LEARN as early as twenty two weeks into their life in the womb. Think of what the horrific ‘law’ has endorsed! Evil
America is dead, its collective soul a rotting, maggot-infested carcass.
Leftists will keep pushing until they get the Nazi “right” to murder us at will as well.
Read and heed my tagline.
States rights and all that. I’m not so sure the supreme court decision will really save any babies at all.
Ohio and Florida changed from blue to red. In 1992, Florida was deep blue. Yes it took time, but it did change. I’m sure other states will follow.
California has that beat. A bill introduced into law would permit parents to “ abort” their child up to 28 days after birth.
Great points
Oh my gosh. I’m literally speechless.
