The headmaster of a private classical Christian academy is out of his job after revelations he wrote racist comments under a pseudonym.
Thomas Achord, an author, podcaster, and the former headmaster of Sequitur Classical Academy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, parted ways with the school Nov. 23, Achord said in a Nov. 25 statement.
In that statement, Achord denied responsibility for the racist comments made under the name “Tulius Aadland.” But Achord retracted his denial Monday in a follow-up statement, acknowledging that the Tulius Aadland account on Twitter was indeed his.
The Roys Report has accessed the Twitter account but is not linking to it because of the offensive nature of its content. Some tweets supported racially segregated schools; indicated a refusal to patronize stores or restaurants where white people aren’t the majority on staff; made derogatory claims about black men’s natures; and claimed white people are “standard humans.”
The account also published anti-Semitic and misogynistic tweets. It was created October 2019 and its last tweet was on Aug. 27, 2021.
Alastair Roberts, an evangelical scholar and blogger, first linked the Tulius Aadland comments to Achord in tweets anda lengthy blog post. Roberts also alleged Achord wrote articles under the same pseudonym for two websites in 2018 and 2021; those articles have since been removed.
Achord’s podcast co-host, author Stephen Wolfe, and Wolfe’s publisher, Doug Wilson of Canon Press, came to Achord’s defense after his initial denial. They accused those who linked the pseudonymous comments to Achord of trying to “cancel” Wolfe’s book, “The Case for Christian Nationalism,” by noting the 70-episode podcast Wolfe and Achord ran together.

How did they know it was him?
He later admitted it
“In that statement, Achord denied responsibility for the racist comments made under the name “Tulius Aadland.” But Achord retracted his denial Monday in a follow-up statement, acknowledging that the Tulius Aadland account on Twitter was indeed his.”
Yes, but what connected him in the first place?
you think maybe the sjws at twitter helped out
Oh sorry it’s 4 am here and my brain is not fully working. Sowwy.
Very good question. Possible they did an email search?
Elon Musk at it again!
How is this not just another form of censorship? We must believe the censor because "he" decides what is "offensive."
What if the person in question made comments which are accurate and truthful? Sometimes the truth hurts. Does that make it offensive?
Imagine working at a job where you were never given any feedback about your performance because the truth was deemed offensive to you. You would never improve and your errors would continue. Imagine you worked in a hospital or in aircraft maintenance.
What kind of world would this be if no one heard anything that might be deemed offensive (but you had no control--no say so--over what information was being withheld from you).
For our civilization to survive and thrive, we need to rededicate ourselves to the truth no matter how painful it is. And the truth is often painful. So what? We need to adapt to reality, not run from it.
Well what ever he said was bad enough for the school to fire him.
Some nobody writes a bunch of garbage no one cares about or reads.
A lot of schools would fire you or me or most of us here.
I have no idea what he wrote, but being fired by a school administration tells us nothing.
Protecting us from "offensive" comments is censoring free speech.
As an aside, I'm not saying the man shouldn't have been fired for his comments. I'm saying we don't have enough information to even understand this story without the truth as to what was said and the context in which it was said.
We live in a world where an academically underperforming person can get into medical school or law school if they belong to a protected minority, yet a professor at such school can get fired for comments deemed offensive to such a protected minority student at that school (even if the comment deemed offensive was something like "you're going to have to work extra hard to keep up with the rest of your class").
That's an avoidance of reality that's going to get our culture in deep trouble.
I apologize in advance for the rant.;-) I wake up ready for a fight (might be the coffee or lack thereof). I mellow as the day passes.
I have to wonder why the alias? For real if he was not worried about it just post under his real name. After all before EM bought Twatter it was a freaking cesspool and no one cared.
Is Morgana your real name? My name is in honor of my beloved cat, Rooster, who died quite a while ago.
We are done as a nation at least what used to the US. Anti-white is OK and prevalent but anything else is verboten. We have become a nation of cowards.
When the accusation is this serious (racist post!), evidence is not needed. It is racist even to ask for evidence.
I feel like such a fascist for even commenting on it.
Agreed
“you think maybe the sjws at twitter helped out”
Yep, use a VPN if you’re going to do that crap. I suspect the sjw simply matched up IPs, and then leaked it to a friendly reporter (are there any others?).
At that point, not much gain in denying it, as no one will believe him.
“Well what ever he said was bad enough for the school to fire him.”
I can’t help but wonder if Abraham Lincoln today would be forced to resign because of the comments he made then.
I see his monuments are being attacked, and in some cases taken down.
