“Accuse not a servant unto his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty” (Proverbs 30:10).

TOPICS: Ministry/Outreach
KEYWORDS:
“Accuse not a servant unto his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty” (Proverbs 30:10).

You better watch how you deal with somebody else's kids, and somebody else's servant. All I can say is. Let them take care of it. Sometimes you can't help getting involved in situations, just be sure it isn’t more than you can handle.

Matthew 7:1 is one reasons why you shouldn’t accuse a servant, “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” You'll be judged by your own judgment. It is best to just let somebody else take care of it. Also, in Romans 14:4, “Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.”

The Bible said to let his own master take care of his servant. To his own master he stands or falls. If you got a problem with them, take the problem to the master and kindly explain it, but I'd be careful that business of accusing the servant to his master. If the preacher doesn't do it the way you think it ought to be done, you the Lord take care of the preacher. The Lord raised him up to the ministry, the preacher is the Lord’s servant; let the Lord take care of it. You just go to the Lord and tell Him.

“Accuse not a servant unto his master,” now, doesn’t the Bible say something in Timothy about that business of accusing an elder? In fact, that's the exact wording in First Timothy 5:19, “Against an elder receive not an accusation.” You better be careful about that.

If somebody attacks the preacher, or a missionary, or a man of God to you, and brings an accusation against them, you say, “Whoa! I'm out!” The Bible says “receive not an accusation against an elder, but before two or three witnesses.” Let’s get some witnesses in here.” That will shut a lot of that stuff off, that’ll turn that off.

“Accuse not a servant unto his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty.” You’ll wind up being the one getting accused.

Daily Bible study is necessary if we are going to begin our day with the right attitude and the right spiritual diet. Proverbs has 31 chapters, and most months have 31 days, so let's read a chapter of Proverbs a day and see what God might have for us. As the Lord leads, share with us what God has shown you in a special way and by His grace let us build up a devotional repository. Let's keep our knives and forks handy for some daily bread! Ideally, a chapter or two of Proverbs will fit in nicely with a good plan of reading our Bibles through each year.

If anyone would like to be added to the ping list, please let me know either by post or by p.m.
