At least we got the admission “whose name he was silent on”...might the journalist or editor have held off on publication of the piece until said silence ended?

Instead we get mamby-pambied, mealy mouthed, weasel worded, and jesuiticized to within an inch of our intellectual lives. Pieces like this kill healthy brain cells, for sure. Which is basically the whole idea—to numb the minds of potential critics.
