I think there are legitimate safety concerns. The venom of the pro-aborts along with the a likely non-response from D.C. police (probably due to a stand down order) means the march could be a target for violence. So I am not willing to condemn the diocese on this one.
Future marches need to take place in the several states. On the state capitals.
I cannot say anything good about Wilton Gregory.
So I won’t say anything.
Many States have had their own State March for Life for years. Agree that we need them in ALL States.
As for the National March for Life ... I’m going. Wouldn’t miss this for anything. It’s gonna be fun!
It’s going to be a huge party this year. I think that I heard they plan to focus on states after.
A huge party for us. The opposition will be out in force and probably more vulgar, profane, and obscene than ever. It’s gonna be a blast.
This is true.
I would not send my grandchildren to the March for this reason.
Too much potential for violence.
When the pope is a pro abortion marxist this is likely to happen
And I just realized that can’t go. I’m a senior level volunteer with another ministry and we have a previously scheduled meeting.
Bummer.
What a surprise. Maybe he’ll hold a Planned Parenthood fundraiser instead.
It’s for the “youth,” don’t you know...the “youth” that he would happily have had aborted.
Did Gregory clear this thru his butt buddy little Jimmy Martin.
Gregory went straight to top: Bergoglio, Biden and Pelosi.
Please remember to pray for those who can ... I expect it to be an "interesting time".
I agree with more local marches but there’s no reason to cancel the Catholic Youth Rally and Mass in D.C.
Biden has promised he would try to bypass the Supreme Court by getting Congress to legalize infanticide nationwide. What better place than D.C. to make the pro-life movement visible?
This cancelation is both purposeful and evil.
The March for Life is the single most powerful experience in development of Catholic faith for these students, especially urban black kids.
Washington is it’s own archdiocese.
Baltimore is it’s own archdiocese.
Dioceses are subsets of their own, specific archdioceses.
I understand that. As indicated in the bolded “multi-diocese”, the Baltimore Archdiocese (as well as others) has participated in the Washington Archdiocese’s rallies prior.
