The U.S. Catholic Church is similar in size to the Church of England. It’s filled with mega-church-sized parishes, many times the size of the average Anglican Church (at least in America). It has a severe priest shortage blamed on celibacy rules that the Anglican church does not have. Women cannot be ordained. And it has more than 40,000 priests.
