PICTURE IN YOUR MIND A HIGHLY COMPLICATED MACHINE.
God's IQ And Human Comforts.

Just how intellectually brilliant is the God that created and designed the human brain that created and designed that machine up there?
Answer: His intellectual brilliance would be off the charts.
God's intelligence level would be incomprehensible to we humans.
The web says there are 200 billion trillion stars in the universe and that the number of galaxies is between 100 billion and 200 billion.
God is brilliant. God can add, so to speak, a running list of 20 digit numbers, as fast as they can be spoken, endlessly:
67584989759876534567
98763464387564329856
76455678346478936547
etc etc
Yet our God is hugely concerned with all of our practical down to earth
human-comfort-needs such as love, joy, peace, happiness, good food for us to eat, fellowship with us, helping us with all our problems, giving
us rest and good nights of sleep, and giving us many of the desires of our heart -- and let us never forget John 3:16's gift of Eternal Life.
So?
So the intellectual brainy stuff, while important, is not the all-important part of living life. What's more important is our
relationship with the Lord and His kindness, compassion, and blessings upon our lives. And long live love. There is faith, hope and love.
But the greatest of these is love.

Thoughts?

Hmm, interesting, but my take would be that IQ is a human construct.
God is not bound by such.
the Westminster Confession of Faith 1st point is
Q. 1. What is the chief and highest end of man?
A. Man’s chief and highest end is to glorify God, and fully to enjoy him forever.
We are less than worms trying to comprehend something as complex as all life on this planet.
Is God a member of MENSA?
Well said. Our purpose in life is to praise, honor and glorify God in our relationship with Him through Jesus Christ, our savior. Those who do not accept Jesus as their savior have no path to eternal life with God. Sadly, those who do not accept Jesus as their savior have only one final destination: eternal life in hell, a real, horrible beyond our imagination place. Jesus clearly stated, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 ESV.
Simply knowing who God is is not sufficient. Satan and his minions know God, but will never experience the glory and joy of eternal life in heaven.
One must know Jesus as one’s savior, without exception, in order to begin to fully know God.
In the words of Christ:
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34&35.
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in Me.” John 14:1.
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:26.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Also humans, at least in western culture, place way too much emphasis on intellectual prowess.
Relationship is far more important and God provided a way for everyone, regardless of social standing, money, intellect, physical ability, culture, possessions, whatever, to come to Him on equal terms.
The ground is level at the cross.
Regards,
Well, there obviously is a “design” to the universe, so in that respect, there is brilliance (in comparison to mere mortals). Although we’re not nearly as intelligent as we think we are, it’s not worthy of a comparison.
What intrigues me most is the enormous level of cosmic energy.
Well spoken.
Well spoken.
You are WAY underestimating God.
His ways are above our ways.
God does NOT need to add. Period.
He ALREADY knows the answer.
He is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient.
The last word (Omniscient) means he KNOWs everything.
There is nothing he does not know. Why does he need to SUM a bunch of numbers? He knows the answer already.
He knows WHAT a person will do before they do it, and yet He does NOT make the person do it. How can that be?
Because He exists above, and beyond time. He created time, and will eventually destroy what we call “time”.
He can see the future as easy as we can see the other side of the room, likewise the past. God lives in all of time, at one time. That is why one of his Titles/Names is I AM.
Jesus said, before Abraham was, I AM.
What kind of being/mind can conceive of the intricate complexity of DNA that is in every cell of our body, and at the same time create the galaxies of planets, all in their vast array? He created all of it.
The Glory of God cannot be overstated.
“Th3y” say (whether true or not I dunno) that there is a very fine line between genius and insanity, and that we only use a small % of our brain. If we were to be smarter, it would possibly drive us to insanity, but with God, he is able to handle it because he is omnipotent as well as all-knowing- he is omniscient.
1 John 3:20 ESV For whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.
Psalm 147:5 ESV Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.
Psalm 139:4 ESV Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
Psalm 139:1-24 ESV To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.
Isaiah 42:9 ESV Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.”
Job 37:16 ESV Do you know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge
What is God’s iq? I guess the answer would be “perfection”
He knows our thoughts and needs even before we think them, and already has the answers to them for us, to be revealed as he sees fit knowing what we can handle and can’t, and knowing hwtz we need and when we need it.
Good post for inspiring thoughts about God and His amazing works and loving character. The wrongthink-sniffers chimed right in to put a stop to that.
The Dark Side never learns because it already knows everything already.
Of those eager to go running off spreading careless interpretation:
John 21
20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
21 Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
24 This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following...
One man's dangling participle is another man's consolation and comfort.
