Terni Bishop Francesco Soddu, 62, Italy, attended the September 27 inauguration of a Terni Masonic lodge and even participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony (pictured).
Masonry is incompatible with Catholicism because it follows a deity called "Supreme Architect of the Universe" which is cut off from the earth. Therefore, Freemasons deny Revelation, the Incarnation and Providence.
GrandeOriente.it published the inauguration’s pictures. Soddu justified himself on the diocesan website by attacking his critics and claiming that the evidence was "misunderstood" and "misinterpreted."
He thinks that his words were not taken into account, that he didn't identify with a different worldview than Christianity but wanted "to witness the Gospel" in times of Synodality.
More honest comments came from Grand Master Stefano Bisi. Referring to the relationship between Church and the Masonic sect, he told LaNuovaBq.it (October 4) that the “crusades are over” [whatever that means] and quoted Francis' hypocritical encyclical Fratelli tutti, and Francis' reference to a “Supreme Being” in order to avoid confessing the Holy Trinity.
Soddu is not the brightest light. He holds a degree in "pastoral theology."
Not a bad start in Bergoglio's Frankenchurch.

Laetae Sententiae?
“Masonry is incompatible with Catholicism because it follows a deity called “Supreme Architect of the Universe” which is cut off from the earth. Therefore, Freemasons deny Revelation, the Incarnation and Providence.”
Free Masonry requires each applicant to state that they believe in a Supreme Being. The Supreme Being could be the
God of Christians and Jews; Allah for Muslims, the Kami for Shinto followers. Masonry does not deny revelation, the incarnation, and providence. It is not a religion. It is the oldest fraternal organization in the world. The term Supreme Architect of the Universe is not a specific God for a specific religion. It is an expression for a Supreme Being.
Nor does Freemasonary support and proclaim divine revelation, the incarnation, etc.
Satanists believe in a "supreme being", and it isn't God.
Roman Catholic priest Reto Nay is co-founder of the multilingual video portal gloria.tv, and one of the two priests working for gloria.tv, along with Markus Doppelbauer. On 22 January 2009 gloria.tv published a text that played down the Holocaust. Nay refused to delete it...
As soon as Freemasons profess that the Supreme Being “could be” any of a list of deities of various religions, Freemasonry becomes a religion, because it’s teaching a religious doctrine. It’s an indifferentist doctrine (”it doesn’t matter which one you profess”), but that’s still a religious doctrine.
“ It is not a religion. ”
False.
The Masonic funeral service is uniquely religious.
and what do they have to do to reach the 30th degree?
Yes much better said than what I wrote.
St Maximilian Kolbe was in Rome during celebrations of the 200th anniversary of freemasonry. He wrote of seeing a banner that read, “Satan will reign in the Vatican. The pope will be his slave.” Are we there yet?
From a Catholic Christian perspective. The author is a Catholic and a former 32nd degree Mason.
How was it downplayed?
The catholic church is rife with ignorance . Evil men abound within it’s ranks.
When you find an organization that doesn’t have evil men in it, give us a call, okay? Hint: Romans 3:23.
As so it was at the Last Supper.
What's your point, besides looking foolish?
