I would think Calvinists hardest hit.
To: who_would_fardels_bear
How so? That is pretty much in line with reformed theology.

Barron is not worth listening to.

I thought God only saved the Elect.
The Calvinist idea seems to be that God ultimately wants everyone to go to Heaven, knows from the beginning of time however that only the Elect few will end up there, and yet the blame for the mass of humanity going to Hell is on them.
So it seems that significantly contorted logic is required to say that He is doing everything in His power so that all will enjoy Life Eternal.
To: MurphsLaw
Yet, Jesus doesn't need to find all his sheep, because the heretic, Boobie Barron, preaches that Jesus Christ is only the
preferred route to salvation.
Is Jesus Christ the ‘privileged way’ to salvation—or the only way?
It is therefore alarming, to say the least, that a bishop (Barron) of the Catholic Church would think, let alone say multiple times in a public venue, that Christ is the “privileged route” to salvation—as if there are multiple paths, and those who believe in Christ are taking the speedy Interstate while others are trudging along on country roads or bike trails.

“God is crazy in love with you.”
With the dismal state of the world today, I’m beginning to think you happy-clappy religious believers have no idea what you’re talking about.

The Reformed position holds God only saves the elect: that is clear biblical teaching.
God ultimately wanting everyone to go to heaven is not a Reformed position. It’s unbiblical. God’s will is always accomplished. Whoever ends up in heaven is a result of the will of God. Not man.
If you want to know the whole enchilada on Reformed Theology, here is a good resource for you:

So Calvinism is opposed to this statement in the first post:
"God's infinite Love to never give up on any of us."

Is Bonhoeffer going to hell because he was a Lutheran?
Answer the question!!
Or just shut up already...

So who is “any of us” in that statement?
It certainly doesn’t apply to all the WWII Japanese sailors at the bottom of the Pacific. And you can go on from there.
What does the Bible say? In John 17, Jesus’ High Priestly prayer, he isn’t praying for everyone, and he makes that distinction.

It’s in this state because of sin, and it’s going to get worse. We look at the long picture. Yes, it upsets me what is happening, but it was all written out thousands of years ago. It has to be this way.

Are Mao Tse Tung, Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot and Adolf Hitler in Heaven, as your your hero, Boobie Barron, dares hope?
If so, why be Catholic?
Why obey the the Ten Commandments?
Answer the questions or stop pimping your heretic!

Okay. So you seem to believe that "us" = The Elect. I was thinking that "us" referred to all humanity.
To: who_would_fardels_bear
Yeah, the Bible doesn’t support all of humanity, as much as we’d all like it to.

You're blasphemously ignorant in comparing Bonhoeffer -
who gave his life in service of Christ -
With Godless mass murderers...
Thats demonic...

Two can play your game.
Barron is wrong and so are you.
Hell is not Empty!
Christ said so numerous times in the Bible; yet you choose to follow a heretic who preaches otherwise.

So do Calvinists believe in different levels of Hell depending on how generally holy a person lived his/her life who was not among the Elect? Or are all humans who aren’t among the Elect subjected to an eternity of the worst that Hell has to offer?
To: who_would_fardels_bear
I would think Calvinists hardest hit.
Not for nothin...
But my reference was to the end of the video
Where the brother of the Prodigal was admonished
for not knowing the nature of how his Father loves him,
instead, feeling he needed to earn his Father's love...
Hence Pelagius...
