(LifeSiteNews) – Australia’s Catholic bishops have issued new guidance on transgender issues for Catholic schools, promoting a change of “gender,” and unisex toilets along with advice to use students’ “preferred name” and pronouns, while also noting that gender ideology is “inconsistent” with Christianity.
Entitled “Created and Loved: A guide for Catholic schools on identity and gender,” the guidelines were drawn up in response “to the individual social and pastoral needs of students,” according to a press release.
The Australian Catholic Bishops’ Conference (ACBA) 12-page document addresses issues such as “gender” transition, the use of a student’s preferred “name, identity,” and pronouns, and bathrooms for students of the opposite sex.
Archbishop Peter A Comensoli, chair of the Bishops Commission for Life, Family and Public Engagement, said that the document was based on the principle that “each person is created in the image and likeness of God, and is loved by God.”
Moderate stance on gender ideology promotion
The bishops wrote that Catholic schools must resist the “the incursion of political lobbying, ideological postures, organisations and movements at odds with the school’s mission, along with their language and symbols.” School principals must sometimes “respectfully decline” for such groups to be involved with the school’s life, the bishops wrote.
The bishops further noted that the “popular rhetoric around gender variance” accepts “perceptions of sex and gender that are inconsistent with a Christian understanding.”

My most beautiful friend had a daughter who wasn’t. Clearly a lesbian even at a young age. Nice young woman, pleasant, intelligent, didn’t hate men. I read recently that she was now a Trannie. For her it was OK, as she waited until she was over 30. Her/his website is only available by subscription, clearly not recruiting..
Perhaps they might consider becoming Catholic and basing their statements on that faith.
They are not Catholic, they are not faithful, they have renounced their belief and separate themselves from God by leading people astray into heresy. The worldly media celebrates their apostasy and they should never have been made bishops of Chris’s Church.

I would take issue with this point. Adam was made in the image and likeness of God. We are made in Adam’s fallen image and likeness ... even though I do get his point in the statement. Christ Jesus is the Second Adam.
“Jacob have I loved; Esau have I hated.”
And God was showing just how much he loved the people of Sodom and Gomorrah when He rained down fire and brimstone down upon them to wipe them out after removing righteous Lot and his daughters.
