There is much truth there. Most of us are afraid of failure in some manner, some area of our lives. A certain degree of concern is both good and responsible, but a heavy ponderance on the topic of failure can become a self fulfilling prophecy. That’s when I have faith in God and faith in myself to do the best I can at that point in time. That is when I pray for strength and guidence.
What was it FDR said? “There is nothing to fear but fear itself.”
We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us and the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead lives in us.
Jesus was able to resist all the temptation Satan threw at Him. In Him, we can, too, but it’s HIS strength, not our own.
Instead of gritting our teeth and bearing it, we need to cry out for help immediately. Not always easy to do when temptation sneaks up on us and blindsides us when our guard is down.
