Well, sometimes you can get into hot water by Jethroing. Whether or not the person being Jetthroed has had their heart softened by The Holy Spirit in order to be receptive makes a BIG difference :-)
You are correct. In this case, Jethro relied on his forty years’ familial familiarity with Moses. No doubt, he had become a surrogate for Moses’ father, as my own father-in-law became for me.
