Is Robert Barron a Bishop of Baal?

Is Robert Barron a Bishop of Baal?

Did God punish Elijah for destroying the prophets of Baal, as Bishop Barron suggests? John Zmirak has an answer.

...

The P.T. Barnum of the Catholic Church

One of the most blatantly opportunistic public figures in my church has been Robert Barron. When John Paul II and Benedict XVI were pope, he assiduously cultivated an image as a defender of traditional faith. He raised tens of millions of dollars from well-meaning believers who bought into that image, and got himself named a bishop. But as soon as Francis took power, Barron’s skin instantly changed color to match his new environment. As Jason Jones wrote here:

When Benedict XVI was in office, Barron sounded orthodox. Now that Francis rules, Barron tilts his way. Read theologian John Gravino’s staggering exposé of Barron’s leadership in “mainstreaming” gay clergy in the Catholic church.

He is all things to all popes, it seems.

Out of the hundreds of thousands of words that emerge annually from Barron’s personal media empire, I have strained to hear him speak anything prophetic on behalf of the weak, the abandoned, the desperate. This bishop with so much influence, who appears on network TV shows, doesn’t talk much about the unborn. I didn’t hear him defend David Daleiden, when the state of California (where each of them lives) decided to persecute Daleiden for exposing Planned Parenthood. When Barron appeared in a video with Ben Shapiro, who challenged him to evangelize for Christ, Barron demurred. He pretty much shrugged, and said that there were other paths to salvation.

The reason I bring up Barron is that he is useful, in the same way a weathervane is. Such a man is keenly attuned, with senses like a cheetah’s, to which way the wind is blowing. If you see him pointing one way, you can be certain that it’s the direction where the powerful want us to walk. It’s the destination marked out for us by Caesar, Mammon, and Sodom. And we ought to run, not walk, in the opposite direction.

He is the Church’s version of a Deep Stater - plus he has made a lot of $$$$ from his TV Programs and DVD’s.

This implies Robert Barron is a hollow reed blowing in the winds of popularity. Of course that’s the opposite of what he’s vowed to be.

Matthew 11:7

As John’s disciples were leaving, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swayed by the wind?

Romans 1:18-32 lists different fruit associated with being turned over to a depraved mind. The fruit, such as advocacy for homosexuality in society, is not the cause of being turned over ... refusing to retain knowledge of the Lord is.

The fruit is there to be seen, to be a warning about the spiritual condition of those displaying it.

Remember old Balaam? Scripture makes it clear that he knew the Lord. Who knows how many other prophets that the Lord send the Canaanites from the era of Melchizedek to when Balaam finally walked the land, while the wickedness of that people was not yet complete as Scripture says in one place.

I want to put it to you that much of the West is in the similar condition to the Canaanites ... only worse for it it the very Gospel itself that these have turned away from. Those given much ... well, they’re on the hook.

The times of the Revelation are upon us. Repent for the King is approaching and you don’t know the hour He comes!

Sadly the link has a 30 second clip of Barron’s words which cuts off exactly when Barron begins to explain and expand on his intentionally provocative statement. This is not good. This is not honest. Anybody who takes this unethical bull squat seriously should be ashamed.

He pretty much shrugged, and said that there were other paths to salvation.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

As for the 'good' Bishop:

As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.

Satan, death, judgement, hell.
Shepherds that don’t make these truths the bread and butter of their preaching are wolves. The obvious abandonment of the flock has never been more manifest than right now. God told us this would happen.

Take courage and trust in the Lord!

The bad news is only an introduction opportunity to present the only good news.

Yes, he craves broad, mainstream acceptance and takes what he believes to be non-controversial positions on all things. He sees himself as a Catholic bishop from central casting.

Anybody who takes this unethical bull squat seriously should be ashamed.

Do you, like Boobie Barron, believe there are several paths to salvation?

Do you, like Boobie Barron, dare hope Hell is empty, despite the words of Christ?

Do you, like Boobie Barron, think the Supreme Court should not reverse its decision to legalize homo-marriage?

Anybody who defends this homo-heretic should be ashamed.
