Sin-Nod Ping
From the article, “ If so few people took part, why should any notice be taken of the results....which are basically the musings of handfuls of progressive activists. ”
That’s a good question.
I have two questions: What leadership role(s) do women have in the RCC?
and
Are there women priests? And if there are, are they only on the margins of the “church”?
Thanks.
Highway To Hell
I once attempted to participate in a diocesan synod. I went to a parish session. They gave us handouts, we read the handouts. Then the presenter put the handouts on PowerPoint and read the handouts out loud. Then the presenter told us what had just been read.
I went out to my car and screamed. Screamed some more. Had never before been bored to the point of agony.
My impression, most of the participants are mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed on s-—. A few machers reach predetermined results in the back rooms.
My new diocese is doing something similar, listening sessions.
Where is the quest for holiness, depth, challenge, sacrifice?
Politicians run the church, and holiness lives in the chinks and gaps.
