Catholic Priest and Two Others Sentenced to Jail for Red Rose Rescue
The National Catholic Register ^ | 8/17/22 | Theresa Bonopartis

Harsh sentences and extreme pro-abortion laws remind us that abortion is enshrined in our culture — a culture that is dying from the wounds it has inflicted on itself by a total disrespect for human life.

Will Goodman, Matthew Connolly and Father Fidelis Moscinski, a Franciscan Friar of the Renewal referred to by the court as “Mr. Christopher Moscinski,” were each sentenced to 90 days in jail and ordered to pay $750 in fines and fees for their role in a Red Rose Rescue this past November at All Women’s Health and Medical Services in White Plains, New York.

All three defendants say they will not pay the fines. If the fees are not paid by February 2023, they face an additional 30 days in jail.

As others with much more serious crimes are set free without bail, why are these three incarcerated?

The answer is simple: they confronted what has become the “god” of abortion. They resisted the dismemberment and killing of the unborn, hidden from the eyes of an indifferent society.

In a Red Rose Rescue like the one that resulted in the arrest of these men, the rescuers peacefully enter an abortion facility waiting room to speak to women scheduled for abortions with the goal of persuading them not to abort. They are offered red roses with a list of resources to assist them in choosing life. Should the woman still choose abortion, the rescuers stay in solidarity with the unborn baby inside the abortion clinic, remaining with them for as long as they can. They use noncompliance in response to being asked to leave the clinic and the police officers carry them out.

I would have immediately dispensed with Your Honor, or Judge Collins. It would be Mr. Collins from there on out. 4 can play that game all day.

Unfortunately they did indeed violate the law. How would most Freepers react to pro aborts doing the same thing at a pro life pregnancy counseling center.

Pro-aborts have done far WORSE things at pregnancy counseling centers and have yet to be prosecuted for it. That’s where the real injustice lies.

“Unfortunately they did indeed violate the law. “

They know the ‘true lawmaker’ The Lord.

They have a place set for them when this life is no more.

Let's get the names of the Servants of Moloch out there:

Westchester County District Attorney Mimi Rocah and Mr. John Collins, purported "judge" of the city of White Plains - but actually a Moloch stooge.

Some laws can legitimately be broken. Maybe or maybe not helpful pragmatically.

Would you have attempted a slave purchase intervention? Been part of the Underground Railroad? That was breaking the law too. Would there have been Jews in your attic?

These men would have, I feel it is safe to say.

There is no moral equivalence between “pro-life” and those who support or commit the bloody slaughter of unborn children.

The answer to all of those is, no, no, no. Slavery was and still is in many parts of the world a legitimate institution of labor control. {There are more de facto slaves in India today than ever existed in the territory of the US at any time.)Those who blithly set out to disrupt such an institution are generally people of overweening egos and sense of their great GOODNESS. For that reason I generally intensely dislike self proclaimed virtuous individuals. They are trouble makers whose actions generally end in worse conditions than previously existed. (One of my mother’s relatives was a strident liquor prohibitionist, it did get back to her that I routinely described her as that ‘sanctimonius, stupid and self important old crow’. Happy she did get the word before she croaked.

That may be true but the actions of the clerics are still illegal by man’s law. They made their stand and as members of the faith will endure their punishment in good heart.
