#2 by Ugolino di Nerio, a 14th c. artist from Siena, very influenced by Duccio. Spiritual and elegant style. The Latin inscription on the scroll translates, “stone was cut out of the mountain without hands.”
The fresco at #5, from the Disciplini Oratorio”, famous for the series of frescoes on the theme of death.
Great statue at #8, by G. Lombardo
#14 from the Well of Moses, the masterpiece of the Dutch artist Claus Sluter.

Thanks, Alba! Usually, I don’t post “tributes” like this and stick to illustrating the text. But in doing that for all of Daniel’s stories, I came across such an interesting variety—these—that I caved in.

I am partial to #15, Aringay’s fenster. This Filipino church dazzles me with its windows.
