I, too, have worked in a CPC. .30Carbine's story is exactly correct. The message to the clients must be simple and clear: "no abortion", and the counselor must be completely honest. She would have been unable to give that clear, unambiguous counsel. The client wouldn't hear "it was a huge mistake that I regret every day of my life". The client would hear "I had an abortion, and I got over it".
Nobody is silencing the testimony of women who have repented of their abortions. Nobody on our side, anyway ... Come to the March for Life some time, you'll hear them there. It should be really interesting this year. "All things have their season, and in their times all things pass under heaven ... A time to keep silence, and a time to speak." A small, closed room with a terrified pregnant woman who is not thinking clearly is not the place for ambiguous, complex testimony or counsel.
