Republican AG candidate Jim Schultz called it 'yet another dereliction of duty' by Keith Ellison 'motivated by his far-left politics.'
ST. PAUL, Minnesota (LifeSiteNews) – Minnesota Democrat Attorney General Keith Ellison announced that he will not act to defend pro-life laws struck down last month by a district court judge, including a 24-hour abortion waiting period, informed consent requirement, and parental notification requirement.
In July, Ramsey County Judge Thomas Gilligan claimed that the measures violated the Minnesota Constitution and “insult” the “intelligence and decision-making capabilities” of abortion seekers. Republican state attorney general candidate Jim Schultz condemned the decision as “judicial activism” and said the AG’s office has a “basic constitutional duty to defend Minnesota law.”
On July 28, Ellison announced that he would not appeal Gilligan’s ruling, claiming an appeal would be “unlikely to obtain a different result” and that letting it stand was “the right choice for Minnesota taxpayers and all Minnesotans who need the finality of knowing that they can make intimate decisions about their own bodies free of undue interference by the government.”
Ellison claimed to have separated his personal support for abortion-on-demand from his responsibility and judgment as Minnesota’s top law enforcement official, but Schultz blasted his decision as a “dereliction of duty … motivated by his far-left politics.”

The Democrat Party exists o ly to serve itself.
Damn two-faced hypocrites. Just months ago government was forcing people to get injected with experimental mRNA drugs, the ultimate "undue interference by government."
The Democrat Party exists o ly to serve itself.
Since when do judges get to upsurp state legislators ?
Fire the bum.
Revoke his credentials.
These people are all rogue.
Rat AG and rat Governor. The rule of law is an obstacle.
To bad the governor is also a democrat. He could do what the Florida governor just did.
“insult” the “intelligence and decision-making capabilities” of abortion seekers
If they were wise, truly intelligent, and capable of making rational decisions, they wouldn’t buy the propaganda of the media, Big Abortion, and morally corrupt politicians and judges. They’d know much is being hidden from them but they don’t because they’re low information and easily manipulated and controlled.
Do they know 93% of women regret their abortions? Do they know it raises their risk of breast cancer? Do they know about the risk of internal injuries? Do they know the increased subsequent risk of infertility? Do they know women die from supposedly “safe” abortions?
Do they know the mental, emotional and spiritual consequences of abortion? Guilt. Regret. Shame. Depression. Anxiety. Nightmares. PTSD. Alcohol and drug abuse. Coldness and numbness towards other children. Suicidal ideation.
Jesus forgives and heals but demonic forces really oppress Post-Abortion women. It’s “You have a right to choose!” before the abortion, then, “What did you do?! You killed your baby!” afterwards.
That is dereliction of duty.
This is what happens when democrats import thousands of christian hating muslims from somalia into your state.
