"UCC and Church of Christ are very, very different."

True that. UCC in Chicago is known for Jeremiah Americuuusss--chickiiinnnnsss-is-cumin-home-ta-roost Wright.

“ They asked the court to declare that the state’s abortion law violates Florida and U.S. constitutional protections for freedom of speech and religion.”

How is abortion speech or religion?

blue staters have been flooding florida since 2020 election.

their goal, like texas, is to turn it blue.

these freaks should receive the message that Florida does not want nor need them and they need to move back to their blue state

Imagine being this evil. Being ignorant in sin is one thing; but having the knowledge, training, resources of Christ right in front of you and then spitting in His face.
They will reap their reward.

United Church of Christ and the Episcopal Church...claims killing an unborn baby in an abortion is a “religious ritual”.

UCC and Church of Christ are very, very different.

True, the local Church of Christ was never willing to hire me on as their organist.

(The rest of the class will get that in a minute🙄)

Seriously, UCC might as well merge with the Unitarian Universalists for all their adherence to Christian doctrine. Even their logo is essentially a surfer version of the Taoist yin-yang

Three Jewish rabbis, a Buddhist lama and a Unitarian Universalist minister also filed lawsuits Monday making the same claim.

These same three Jewish rabbis, the Buddhist lama, and Unitarian Universalist minister walk into a bar next to the Satanic Temple and the bartender says, "Hey guys. The usual?"

The Unitarian minister says "Not for me, Sam. I'll take a baby's blood and gin spritzer since they'll soon be in short supply."

Priests of Moloch.

And Baal, Ashtoreth, Dagon, Milcom...

Just another step backwards to the same old child sacrifice, sexualized ritual and temple prostitution worship of the "good old days."

My home town's UCC used to be the church that most of the bankers, lawyers and spoiled descendants of the town fathers attended, and it controlled the levers of local power to a surprising degree. Nowadays, it is lucky to have a handful of people show up on a Sunday, the building is crumbling and only partially used, and the services are conducted by a rotation of hilariously stereotypical temps.

The Mexican transients who still care go to the RC church, young local families with a spiritual bent now support a number of small Bible-based congregations, and the heathen balance of the general pop ignore the living daylights out of the UCC and other two "mainstream protestant" churches. Since all three went to "Jesus Lite" some decades ago, they became social clubs that have slowly aged out.

Apparently, churches in Florida still take enough in their collection plates to sue for infanticide. Poor investment.

"...the United Church of Christ and the Episcopal Church claim the pro-life law violates their free speech and freedom of religion."

Are they claiming that abortion is one of their sacraments?

The usual suspects. I attended the Episcopal Church for a while some forty years ago. The last time I set foot there was on the Sunday when they announced they were sending a busload of parishoners to Washington to celebrate Roe v Wade.

It's good to report this, but it's not really news. They are behaving exactly as one would expect at any time in the past 60 years or so.

It's "who they are".

Time to yank their tax-exempt status.

Those who make social justice — which is “justice” rendered to groups of persons rather than actual justice rendered to individuals — their core value they must eventually go off the rails.

This is both true spiritually and politically.

Spiritually because, to be blunt, it dethrones the Lord and His grace and elevates men and works.

Politically because, likewise to be blunt, it makes actual justice due to flesh and blood Persons secondary, if even secondary, and just as pursuing social injustice — which is injustice directed at groups and not persons — grows the police powers of the State to the harm of certain groups so too does chasing after social justice grow the police powers of the State to eventually harm those seen as being in the way of those deserving groups even though they (those luckless individuals) have done no wrong. Marxism and redistributionism are prime examples of this denying justice due to Persons in favor of groups, abstractions of persons.

Also where the expansion of government to cause social injustice is often limited because it does not require government to lord it over those groups not being harmed with chasing after social justice there is great upward pressure on growing the police state because there is ultimately a demand to protect every favored group from anyone, and there is therefore no end to the deviltry they can get up to ... especially if they should start calling themselves “Woke” for instance.

Where you can oppose social injustice by limiting the harm the state can inflict, reducing its powers over all the people, you simply cannot chase after social justice without growing government.

But back to those like the UCC, far more serious is making social justice or race justice your core because these are in opposition to the Gospel itself (where opposing social injustice AS and WHEN subordinated to spiritual truth is right and good). A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

I knew this would come; using the “religious freedom” wedge in pro-abortion legal suits againts stringent abortion laws.

Two churches that are not for Jesus and GOD... What a surprise... Church of Christ should be Church of Satan!! A Buddhist lama wants to murder babies, too...Doesn’t sound like a peaceful religion...The UU church should be called the Coo Coo Church... 🤓

They need to drop the pretense that they are actually churches.
