To: Hebrews 11:6
As a child, I recall a gospel song that was sung fairly regularly, in my Maw-ma's old country church.

It was based pretty much on the Song of Solomon.

The church was unaffiliated for quite a long time ministered by an un-ordained, but "called" simple man of God.

However, eventually, it was accepted into the Southern Baptists Conference, the old pastor being pushed out for a young fella straight out of Bible College.

That song disappeared.

Not until I was approaching adulthood did I realize why.

(It had, shall we say, "unacceptable words" in it and "glorified" sexual activity.)

Or something like that.

And that is my problem with the old, crabby, hard shell Baptist militants.

They simply deemed it "wrong" and, poof, it was gone.

So many of them are unable to see beyond their militant, controlling ways and have appointed themselves the arbiters of the way and intents of God and the "true" meanings of the Bible.

God will prevail.

Thank you for what you present, doing so without argument, disagreement, or even a modicum of criticism.

I enjoy it very much and look forward to it.

May God bless you.

Decorum in the church was a vexing challenge for Abel and Moses and David and Paul, and it will always be so until we have the King of Kings in situ.

Thank you for what you present, doing so without argument, disagreement, or even a modicum of criticism.

The Holy Spirit has made it crystal-clear to me that I am to stay mute and out of His way and let Him operate. My textual abridgements are undertaken prayerfully. The most I do is to add the occasional related New Testament passage--how can I cover Moses' bronze serpent without referencing Jesus' correlation of it to his crucifixion, in his explanation to Nicodemus?!

Thanks for your comments, Sonny.

Dan
