Old figures said abortion rates due to saving the mother’s life due to health crisis: 2.0- 2.5% of annual abortion total.
Rape 1.5%
Incest 0.5%

Even one rape is too many but Catholic policy was to make adoption an alternative or counsel the mother to keep and raise the child.

In Michigan Gov.Whitmer is pushing executive order cutoff of financial aid to couples adopting babies, to all funding of counselling services to the pregnant women and to centers to have ultrasound and other needed items. She demands the center do abortions or be closed up. And that protections for people who refuse to participate in abortions due to their personal faith be abolished and the pleople forced to give up nursing certification or medical doctor licenses for disobeying. A cruel and bullying woman as governor (and she’s well ahead for re-election.

Hopefully this is just ignorance of and confusion about Church teaching. But entire bishops’ conferences dissented on Humanae Vitae. There’s so much worldliness in the Church. How much dissent there has been and remains on contraception even among Mass attendees. There will never be a true turnaround in civilization as long as the grave sin of contraception remains so widespread among Christians. Comfort and convenience come way before heroic virtue with most modern Christians.

Former Catholic Charities Employee Sentenced to Federal Prison for Theft
U.S. Attorney’s Office
February 26, 2009

Eastern District of Louisiana
(504) 680-3000
MARGARE SEGURA, a/k/a Margare Lewis, age 42, a resident of New Orleans, was sentenced yesterday in federal court by U. S. District Judge Kurt D. Engelhardt to 20 months prison for her role in the conspiracy and theft related to a Catholic Charities homeless program, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten. In addition to the term of imprisonment, Judge Engelhardt ordered that SEGURA be placed on three (3) years of supervised release following the term of imprisonment, during which time the defendant will be under federal supervision and risks an additional term of imprisonment should she violate any terms of her supervised release.

According to court documents on November 5, 2008, SEGURA pled guilty to three counts of a superseding indictment admitting that she and her sister, Lola Davis, conspired to steal Department of Housing and Urban Development funds granted to Catholic Charities for a program designed to assist homeless individuals with free housing and lifeskills training. According to the factual basis, SEGURA, the case manager for the Supportive Housing Program, qualified her sister as a landlord of units for individuals that were not homeless or otherwise did not qualify for assistance from the Supportive Housing Program. SEGURA qualified other individuals, including Deborah Knighten, as landlords of properties that they did not own or for tenants that never resided at the property. In addition to the conspiracy, SEGURA also admitted that as an agent of Catholic Charities, she stole at least $5,000 in federal program funds.

The third count against SEGURA to which she pled guilty was for false statements and representations to a government agency (FEMA) when she presented fraudulent receipts for rent she claimed she paid for a residence for three months following Hurricane Katrina.

The case was investigated by agents with the Department of Housing and Urban Development-Office of Inspector General, Department of Homeland Security–Office of Inspector General, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Emily Greenfield.

The federal money was distributed to Catholic Charities through UNITY of Greater New Orleans, a service provider for the homeless. From July 1, 2006, through June 30, 2007, Catholic Charities received $2.1 million in HUD Supportive Housing grants for the homeless, disabled, mentally ill and others with special housing needs, HUD records show. About $242,000 was specifically for housing needs of the homeless, Catholic Charities said. . .

These people think they can override Catholic teaching

When they get together they don’t refer to the catechism

What are they going by?

They don’t talk to former victims that’s for sure. Women have a voice but feminism and leftism shut them down. Actually rape victims say abortion makes it worse.
