Lincoln in his Second Inaugural surmised the war was divine judgment for the injustice of slavery.

And what most people don't know is that in his first inaugural, he called for the passage of an amendment to the US Constitution which made slavery permanent.

When you look on his entire life, you begin to realize he was a lying politician in it just for the power and money, but good with public relations and flowery speeches.

Lincoln was an excellent flim-flam man. That was why he was such a good lawyer.

Oh, and he was an atheist for most of his life.
