There’s no Scriptural record of Mary Magdalene living a life of a stupendous level of vice. All Scripture tells us is that Jesus cast 7 demons from her. Any reports of her being a prostitute are untrue. There’s no indication of that from Scripture.
The portrayal of Mary, mother of Jesus that you present is completely without basis. She was not perpetually young, not sinless, and not to be elevated about other people. That is simply a fabrication for the purpose of deifying a normal human being.
The Chosen will likely lose the plot...as well as its Catholic viewership.
“...Mary Magdalene ... Any reports of her being a prostitute are untrue. There’s no indication of that from Scripture.”
Thank you for pointing that out! Where do people come up with this stuff?
Just like there were three wise men who visited “Baby” Jesus. Jesus wasn’t a baby by the time they got there.
There could’ve been two wise men, or 50. The Bible doesn’t say. Just “men” plural.
And the three wise men’s names... fiction. Not in the Bible.
There are so many fabrications
“Any reports of her being a prostitute are untrue.”
Who here said anything about MM being a prostitute?
She maxed out on being possessed, though. They say seven demons is as many as can possess a single human.
Was her pre-exorcism level of vice not stupendous? How would you describe it?
I read this and all I can think of are the people who ranted at us about being “Bible thumpers” while claiming to be better followers of Jesus.
As if they were boasting about how little they read Scripture.
