How effective is HIMARS? That depends on their use. With a 23kg of high explosives in a HIMARS warhead, they are relatively ineffective for going after dams, bridges, and other heavy infrastructure. On the other hand, they can be very effective against armor, artillery, troop concentrations, and ammunition depots. If they are used against appropriate targets, the issue then becomes one of how vulnerable they are to anti-missile systems and whether HIMARS can somehow be adjusted to evade them. At the moment, anti-missile systems guided by S400 radars seem to be taking quite a toll on HIMARS. The HIMARS attack on the Antonovsky Bridge was stupid, but if used against an ammunition depot, only one needs to get through to set off fireworks.
“They could fight that way in WWII because Roosevelt kept them supplied”
The Russians were given aircraft such as the second-rate P-39, which the Russians used for air-to-ground attacks.
The Russian made what I remember as a very good JSIII tank as well as the good T-34 tank.
I also read that the Russians made over 100,000 “Stalin organs”, which were rocket launchers used in a “shoot & scoot” fashion.
No argument there. The bridge attack should be a lesson to the Ukrainians. Let’s see if they learned it.
Our missiles are a lot more accurate than Russia’s. Which means we don’t have to fire as many to accomplish our purposes.
I don’t know how many we have.
That was a wonderful summation! I can’t believe that Ukraine has not drafted you as their premier tactical advisor in this little problem... i’m sure you could have it wrapped up in a week. Or maybe not /s
The latest, up to date report. In detail, as usual by Mercouris. Ukie war cheerleaders not advised to listen, your heads will explode.

“ammunition depot”
Each one can be replaced by say a square mile of land, blast limitation trenches dug by bulldozers, pallets and tarps.
Yep, you’re right. We have a very low tolerance for made-up bulls**t from an unqualified former barrister who was disbarred for fraud in the UK.
Yea no one seems to be thinking about that, but to me it seems obvious. I would venture to say that in the past this thought was obvious….. unfortunately I think common sense is long gone now days.
You are right, the chinese are also watching, along with a great many others I am sure.
Another thing I think about is this war widening. Many are cheering for war with Russia, completely overlooking our current civilian as well as military leadership. War with a near peer enemy right now would be disastrous imho. And not because of our soldiers…….as the old saying goes, they are lions, but they are led by donkeys.
I read that Tillerson was national president of the Boy Scouts.
The organization probably had a board of directors that might have fired Tillerson if he did not toe their line.
Yes, there are counter measures, but warehouses are often used.
You stop crazy and simple fool Rasputin. Glory to Ukraine!

Let’s assume they are more accurate. There is still the issue of the numbers needed to get enough through Russian anti-missile defenses, which are quite good. As I said, if the situation with the HIMARS missiles is similar to ammunition inventory, then even 8-12 systems could go through a big part of the stockpile quickly. Please understand that I don’t know what the missile inventory situation is. I just thought you might have run across that information.
what area is "hostile" (whatever that means)? Kherson gave up without a fight and agreed without prompt to switch to the Ruble. Neither side will touch Zapporoshia because the Chinese own factories there. Seriously, if these areas were "hostile" where is the the URK agitprop crowing the effectiveness of insurrection in areas under RF control? There are none because there is no such activity.
According to an American Thinker article, he was an advocate. Even if he weren’t, if he could standup to BS officials, he’s too weak to negotiate with the Russians. He was a very mediocre S of S.
Ukrainian Armed Forces kill 100 Russian soldiers in a hotel in Krasnyi LuchCheers!

The following webpage is not something I understand or can vouch for, so I’m just providing a link:

In the 1980s we had 1300 two pod M270 with 100k + rockets. How many HIMARS and rockets do we have? No enough imho.
6-7 million each. Just FYSA and about 1million per 6 round pod.
While Biden hollows out the U.S. military by firing the good men in the military because they refuse to take a vaccine that has zero effectiveness, and has real possibilities of being very dangerous.
Depletes our munitions and weaponry, while placing more strain on our monetary system with debt that your children and grandchildren will finally succumb to and live as slaves to some foreign power.
And for what? The sanctity of Ukraine's borders, while ours are wide open to all comers, without any knowledge as to who they are. Putting our citizens in more danger.
Perhaps Biden will even make America great again. /sarcasm
Yeah, you are a really bright person who thinks with his heart, and not his head. The road to perdition is paved with good intentions, and lack of critical thinking.
You even use a Russian word as your moniker. I'm thinking you may be a Russian plant, since you do not even tell us where you reside. Afraid to tell us that; are you?
