That looks like a Lakota style headdress. Lakota weren’t really “indigenous” or a “first nation” in Canada. Their presence in Canada was rather small and late. They were driven west and north in the 18th century- displacing other tribes that previously occupied the upper northern plains and into Canada in the 19th century. Adopting horse culture from the Cheyenne aided mobility and increased range and power. The Pawnee, Arikara, Mandan, Hidatsa, Cheyenne and others have a claim to refer to them as colonialists and invaders stealing land. But, their headdresses are beautiful.

Indians apparently do not care...they adopt the head wear from anyone to promote the narrative. Because it looks “Indian”.
