Despite repeated protests from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and other religious organizations, Ukraine has officially completed the ratification of the controversial “Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence,” better known as the Istanbul Convention.
A number of countries and Orthodox Churches have also warned that the Convention is a trojan horse for LGBT and gender ideology.
However, Marija Pejčinović Burić, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, welcomed the move from Ukraine in a tweet, noting that it’s the 36th country to ratify “this landmark treaty.”
The Ukrainian Parliament approved the Convention last month. President Zelensky then signed the law on ratification on June 21, and the document on ratification has now been officially submitted. The Convention will enter into force in Ukraine on November 1.
His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine and other UOC hierarchs and lay organizations have repeatedly warned about the dangerous ideology hiding under the pretext of addressing domestic violence. “There are ideological landmines hidden in the Istanbul Convention that can undermine Ukrainian society,” Met. Onuphry told the President in December.
“The essence of the Istanbul Convention is to destroy at the legislative level the concept of marriage as a union between a man and a woman, as well as traditional ideas about family values,” His Eminence Metropolitan Luke of Zaporozhye also said in December.
As His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir of the Moldovan Church wrote in October, one of the most controversial aspects of the Convention is its definition of “gender” as “socially constructed roles, behaviors, activities and attributes, which a given society considers appropriate for women and men.”

Istanbul Convention? Istanbul Convention?
If there was any one time we needed the Muslims to save the world it is from this gender nonsense. Why did Muslims allow this kind of degeneracy in their land?
We looked south for some sanity from Latin America in dire hope but saw the gender unicorn was wrecking havoc there. The one place we never expected was from the Muslim world. They all failed us.

The Rainbow movement is a judgment from God. Those defeated by it, including Ukraine, deserve His wrath…
The agenda of “the liberal world order” is what we’re fighting for in Ukraine and the includes the LGBT agenda.
I cannot wait until we get adult leadership in this country. The globalist “liberal world order” “central world government,” elitist/oligarch/big tech cabal have been wrong about EVERY single thing they have attempted or planned/envisioned since they have taken control over our entire nation.
Yet, failure teaches them nothing. Their stupidity and hubris drives them to double down. They cannot stop “poking the bear” with additional escalation. They cannot accept that they have greatly underestimated Russia and even more greatly overestimated our current capabilities. They have planned and executed this debacle. They bear full responsibility for what is now happening. And for the very dangerous cold war we are now entering....

Russian Navy Takes Delivery of World’s Longest Submarine
The “research” sub will carry nuclear-armed intercontinental torpedoes
PUBLISHED JUL 8, 2022 6:45 PM BY THE MARITIME EXECUTIVE
The Russian Navy has taken delivery of the world’s longest submarine, the research sub Belgorod. The 600-foot, twin-reactor, 24,000-tonne submarine is designed to conduct subsea science with six Poseidon nuclear-armed torpedoes, making it the most heavily-armed “research” vessel in the world.
In comments at the delivery ceremony, Russian officials celebrated its groundbreaking scientific capabilities. According to shipyard Sevmash, the vessel is “designed to solve diverse scientific problems, conduct search and rescue operations, and can also be used as a carrier for rescue deep-sea and autonomous uninhabited underwater vehicles.” These vehicles could include the secretive spy submarine Losharik, believed to be used for interfering with subsea communications cables.
“The submarine Belgorod opens up new opportunities for Russia in conducting various studies, and it allows diverse scientific expeditions and rescue operations in the most remote areas of the world ocean,” said Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Adm. Nikolai Evmenov.
The Belgorod is the longest submarine ever produced, outstripping the length of the massive Soviet-era Typhoon class (though not the displacement). Like the Typhoon, Belgorod’s most prominent mission is nuclear warhead delivery. The compartment forward of her conning tower contains half a dozen Poseidon / Status-6 Oceanic Multipurpose Systems: nuclear-powered, nuclear-armed intercontinental torpedoes, the only weapons of their kind.
The Poseidon “doomsday” device is designed to travel up to 5,000 nm at a speed of 50-100 knots, transit to a harbor or near-coastal area, and detonate a nuclear warhead. The immediate effects of the explosion would be extreme, but the real objective would be to coat wide swathes of the surrounding coastline with radiactive fallout - an enduring and difficult-to-remediate hazard of underwater nuclear detonations. The submersible delivery method would circumvent (American) missile-defense capabilities.
To further its scientific mission, Belgorod is also equipped to serve as a mothership platform for research submarines, likely including the manned minisubs Russia uses for tampering with subsea fiber-optic cables. Russian activity near subsea cable runs has increased in recent years, raising concerns about the security of the data infrastructure that carries 95 percent of intercontinental internet traffic.
Per Wikipedia:
“On 12 March 2012, Turkey became the first country to ratify the convention, followed by 35 other countries from 2013 to 2022 (Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom). The Convention came into force on 1 August 2014. In 2021, Turkey became the first and only country to withdraw from the convention, after denouncing it on 20 March 2021. The convention ceased to be effective in Turkey on 1 July 2021, following its denunciation.”
So Erdogan withdrew Turkey from the Istanbul Convention over a year ago. At the time of its initial ratification, he had only been Prime Minister; he didn’t become President until 2014.

Update of Iranian drones/Russia
I posted this two days ago....
Israel destroyed Iranian drone assembly plant, where Russia wanted to buy combat UAVs
The Israel Defense Forces carried out several airstrikes on targets near Damascus, destroying an Iranian drone assembly plant.
This is reported by the London-based monitoring group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The unmanned drone factory using Iranian technology was completely destroyed. Before that there was information about an attack on a weapons depot.
This news could have been skipped, but not in light of recent events. The United States is actively reporting that Iran may start supplying strike drones to Russia. A Russian delegation has visited Iran at least twice to learn about the capabilities of combat drones Shahed 191 and Shahed 129. In addition, Vladimir Putin flew to Tehran the other day.
The United States has not yet seen any signs of drone deliveries to russia. In spite of this the White House threatened Iran with sanctions.

Iran still handed over combat drones to Russia
Ukrainian media write about this, citing their sources.
A batch of Iranian drones was sent by the Caspian Sea to Russia. In the future, military cargo through Astrakhan and Volgograd is planned to be delivered to the borders of Ukraine.
It is known that heavy attack drones “Shahed 129” form the basis of the cargo.

MI6 transmitted intelligence to the Office of the President and the General Staff that Putin in Tehran agreed on a batch of drones for Russian troops. Separately, agreements were reached on the creation of several joint design bureaus that will produce drones in Russia on the basis of aircraft factories.
