The African Clergy are about the only CIVILIZED people left in the Catholic Church.In the United Methodist Church as well, which is undergoing a schism as a result of homosexual activism that just wouldn't quit. The Africans are not having it.
In this excellent article, these bishops discuss the need for a schismatic break where there are these clearly incompatible camps—solid Biblical belief versus denial of the plain language of scripture.

A "primate" is the bishop of a "primatial see". (Yeah, sounds sort of circular.) The "primatial see" is the original or pre-eminent see in a country.
Catholics have primates, too. Except, oddly, the United States doesn't have a Catholic primate because no Catholic primatial see has ever been established in the US. If we had one, it would probably be Baltimore.
