That’s what I thought when I first read that Pope Frankie had said denying Communion to pro-abort politicians is not pastoral. Sometimes being pastoral means saying no. As a parent often has to do in order to teach his children where the boundaries are, a priest or bishop must do with his flock when they do wrong. Just what is Frankie teaching when there are no consequences for Catholic politicians who emphatically advocate for child-murder?

Nancy Pelosi is too much a narcissist to understand the lesson and won’t ever change, but failure to sanction her is a failure of Church teaching. It signals to the flock that the Church doesn’t really oppose the murder of the innocent. Either Frankie is too stupid to understand that, or he is an agent of evil himself.

I firmly believe it is the latter.
